Default Literary Supernaturals

Ok, so who are your favourite literary supernaturals? The ones from classics that you don't find in the fantasy section but perhaps should if they were taken on their own merits.

Mine is Dorian Grey. Wilde's immortal bad boy has found himself in any number of fantasy's and graphic novels since first appearing (notably the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen).
Someone that debauched and eternally young due to a painting he hides in the attic and on which his survival depends, how can that not be considered fantasy?

So share yours?

I'm rather fond of Heinlein's Lazarus Long... but I suppose that's cheating since it's Science Fiction. Dorian Gray is cool, though. Wilde had a lot of strange characters running about in his head.
