Default Episode 49: Welcome to Hell

Team prepares for battle at the 2nd location, Hampden and Sheridan to hopefully follow this mess to the end.

The team explores the shopping mall as it is about to close and messes with a van that appears to have been involved in the kidnappings. Seeing nothing of interest the team then continues to track the Evil Guy. Finally they manage to encounter him in some more of his hand built tunnels along with most of the prisoners now mind controlled by strange suits shaped like cards.

Team battles the bizarre super villain who turns out to have been the individual slain by Echo. Returned from hell with a more evil plan and an added bonus of demonic powers he is doing something very weird though apparently unintelligible to the characters. He is however holding the kidnappees in an eight tunnel radiating set

Finally managing to defeat the villain and his mind controlled subjects the team turns to counting the number of victims and comes up three short on the victims list. They return to check the van and discover that it opens to an otherwise undetectable extra dimensional location that appears to be a small portal hell. Team deals with Deamon Squirrels mounted on mech-like Joshua Trees firing some sort of sharp objects at them. Then finally manages to rescue the final three missing persons.

As the best they can come up with the team turns over the criminal and the van over to Party man who whisks the things away in a flash of confetti and streamers.

Default Episode 50: Winnerbago

Having heard there are more villains heading out for the team the team sets up an encounter on I-25 just after Monument Hill. They attempt to divert the Winnebago off the road on to a non-service exit.

The Winnebago is given stats of 6 Def, 18 Body and 38 Str.
Frankly if the Winnebago was either tougher or stronger the team would have had a great deal more of trouble than they did.

As it was the round starts out with a surprise attack by the team including an incredible 18 body on 13d6 EB by Archaeopteryx, Which also results in 6” of KB for the hapless priestly looking guy driving the vehicle slamming him into the entry doors of the Winnebago nearly sending him flying into the snow at 40 MPH. as a bonus for rolling so well the Gm allows Archaeopteryx to automatically shatter all the glass in the Winnebago if she so desires. She does, so the vehicle practically explodes showering glass all over the highway.

Team then begins a running battle down Monument Hill keeping the environmental damage to a minimum. At first the opponents do well against the SUV of supers in part because of the vehicle.
The Regulators finally manage to knock Churchwarden into the snow, (KO finally) and grind out the other four after that. The Ninja ends up practically sailing away on the roof of the vehicle as it disintegrates. However since his mission wasn’t to retreat he reenters the fray.

The individuals they encountered were:
Churchwarden
Strongham
Owl Nite Lunch wagon
A Ninja and
Ice Wolf

After the Defeat of the villains team Heads Back.

Team decides to sleep on the Plane to England to keep the card players company.

Quotes of the Week:
Caliph: “Humans are the only Primate without penis bones.” (-wikipedia)
After we find out who abused Wikipedia…..
GM to Caliphs Significant Other: “So you are the one responsible for Caliph exposing us to Penis Bones?”

Echo to Caliph: I don’t think you are allowed to give wedgies with your power…

Caliph “Echo and the infinite Whacking Maneuver”

Caliph mentions a fear of Flying
Mr 0 OOC: “that’s Ok B. A., Just drink this.”
Caliph: “Hunh?”
The older gamers then have to explain the A-team reference to the Clueless Caliph….

Default Episode 51: Merry Olde England,,, NOT!!! 4/3/2010

Echo was divested of his weaponry, as well as many of the other team members. Team starts dealing with the tournament filled with poker players. Though there was much planning for the avoidance of the no weapons injunction. The poker tournament is being held at this hotel ( http://www.the-northumberland.co.uk/ ) Called the Gold Diggers Tournament part of the draw for the tournament is the bounties. The team begins investigating the hotel and tournament

One of the Bounties goes off early and it happens to be at one of the tables that are covered by the cameras…. ‘oddly’ enough

Hearing screams from outside of the hotel, the Regulators decide to investigate the source of the commotion and discover that across Trafalgar square there is a group of bad guys approaching. A pack of Maledictor minions is driving the locals in front of them away from their path.

Default Episode 52: Interruption 4/10/2010

Team battles the Maledictor Minions coming from the direction of the Thames. The team actually suffers the loss of Echo in combat for a few phases from a dual set of dangerous blows by two of Minions ‘nearly’ killing him. In addition Mr. 0 in the same turn is nearly struck unconscious by two minions using whipstaves.

The team defeats the opposition and discovers evidence that the Maledictors have another team in the area and take off in pursuit.

Echh (i.e. Echo)- I could vomit on the opposition then….

Campaign XP: 394 (+3 Maledictors problems)

End of session Echo goes elsewhere and because of the mind link drags others minds along other team mates…..

To where and when nobody knows.

Default Episode 54: Crab Queen Attacks Tokyo Bay

Real time: 6/5/2010
Game time: (IE XJ-27's POV) 3/9/08
Game Occurs: 1962, July 1st , it was a Tuesday

Echo discovers himself to be in Tokyo in 1962 from XJ-27’s analysis of local radio. In addition a few questions of a local Sushi Chef (unbeknownst to the Secretly the Paisley Ninja! [It’s a PC, not my fault]) Seem to indicate that yes, indeed this is correct. The team members that were sucked in with him however are occupying different bodies from the past.

Toymaker is occupied by Mr. Zero as he finishes giving instruction to the brand new automated action figure (dressed as Theodore Roosevelt from his Rough Riders days) including a rather broad note of rendering assistance to those who help me in superhero battles. This is what enabled Teddy to give Echo assistance back in episode 12.
Ring Dove is occupied by apparently searching for
And Falcon shows up in the head of a now very angry Japanese businessman.
We had two new players
New Player plays Paisley Ninja (future character will be the Crimson Ninja)
New Player plays Tyrsdottr (future character will be The Wyvern until she creates her own character)

Team finally defeats Duke Katzkey for a brief moment forcing him to cast a spell which does not let him escape yet does send Echo Back in time. He then casts a second spell one that will shatter every Ship in Tokyo Bay with crushing ice unless the gathered superhero’s stop it.

The Gm randomly decides that because of Archaeopteryx’s excellent Haiku the record of this event shall be forever known as the Haiku of the Paisley Ninja- Haiku about the formation of the Pacific Rim Defenders. Because that is the book the Crimson Ninja’s father wrote.

Campaign XP: 400 time to rebuild characters.

QOTW:
Falcon to Mr Zero:” Where are you going to stick your probe next?”

Arch- “Even by the standards of the campaign that is gross…”

Paisley Ninja: “I’m a Ninja”

Paisley Ninja: “I’m a Paisley Ninja, but in 1962 Tokyo I’m F^#!!#$ NORMAL compared to you freaks!!!!!”

Episode: 56 The ides of march

On 3/15/08 game time at 12:15 AM something that is invisible to most senses appears to come out of a building with large neon letters forming KPOF right next door to the Harcourt arms the team is surveiling and heads on down the street. It appears to resemble a burning pillar of some sort, wandering toward their car and then after passing it in silence continuing on its way.

They finally determine the KPOF building is actually a church dedicated to The Pillar Of Fire. Though once upon a time part of the KKK. It appears that now it is something stranger.

The team begins flying above the strangeness and observes the fiery pillar forms encountering some sort of similar invisible to normal senses things but that have a roundish tower of bricks sort of feel to them. The Tower thing defeats the Pillar thing
The team tracks back the Pillar thing to The Scottish Masons.

Team eventually has Mr. Zero and the Crimson Ninja break into the KOPF main building whereupon after entering the church they finally hear the faint strains of chanting. Eventually as another invisible to normal senses individual leaves they discover a whole pack of men surrounding a high priestess.

The high priestess is in robes and the men surrounding her are all armed like ancient knights. None of the people appear to be evil according to the Evilomiter. Echo Mr. Zero and the Crimson Ninja chat with the priestess whereupon she mentions that “the Knights of Columbus will too face her wrath unless they stop their harassment”
