Default Fraction/Ferry Thor preview

Newsarama has a preview of Matt Fraction and Pascual Ferry's debut issue on Thor. Quesada's rather grotesque drawing aside (I'm guessing it's a variant cover), it looks good -- Ferry draws an interesting Thor. Not enough of a sample to get a sense of Fraction's direction here. I'm curious -- he's done pulp, he's done snappy, crackling edgy noir sci-fi. I'm curious to see where he goes with Thor.

Finally got the time to have a look at this. Mind you I haven't looked at comics recently except for the odd snippets on these threads and whatnotand the different styles While the style is different, there's a reminescence to Ron Garney's style (especially with Quesada's follow up drawing).

I say Ron Garney, because he was a simpler style (without the millions "gritty" lines), yet subtly intricate with the use of shading (and in the case of Thor, the neon effect).

I like.
