Got a couple of hot matchups in the playoff bracket this week. You should have your Broncos and Texans in your lineups within the next half hour or so, and the Bengals and 49ers play Sat. night, so be sure you've dealt with your lineups in a timely manner.

Did it a couple days ago.
Good thing too. I thought the start time was later than it actually was.

I must say, I'm happy with Johnson's performance.
That said, I'm a bit leery about Lorenzo O'Neil being out for the rest of the season, and what effect that's going to have on LT. And about the rest of my runners facing tough Defenses this week. I need all the help I can get.

Johnson had a nice game, but it could have been a monster game if he hadn't been pushed out on the 1 on his last catch tonight.

That play also helped me in my other league, which is a total points league. Johnson would have gotten 9 more points for the 4th place team had he scored on that play (bonus points for TDs 10+ yards in length).

I'm in 3rd, and had Scheffler going tonight. His stretch across the goal line ended up netting me 13 extra points, because the points for yardage in that league don't turn on until the player gets 100 yards from scrimmage. If he's out at the 1 on an 11-yard catch, he's at 7-99-0 = 5 points. The extra yard and the 12-yard TD pushed his point total to 18 tonight.

If those plays had broken the other way, I'd be 10 points out of third place (the last money spot in the league), but I'm presently in third by 12 points. Got lucky tonight...

Let's be realistic here... YOu have Brady going against the Jets...

That's at LEAST 30 points for you right there with another 10 likely from Welker out of it...

Tomlinson will be fine, too, in all likelihood. He gets an average run D this week (Detroit) and then the paper-thin run D of Denver next week. Should have solid games despite the absence of Neal at FB.

There was a game tonight and one already on Thursday, but yeah, for the most part, the games this week still lie before us.

Well, I left a lot of points on the bench today. We'll see if you can make me pay for it.

Congratulations to the Tribbles.
<grin> Now go out and beat those Wookies!

Tribbles-Wookies in the championship. The mighty Brady/LT juggernaut has fallen thanks in part to some untimely inclement weather and a huge game from the San Diego D/ST. Neanderthals-Angels square off for the bronze in Week 16, The Demolition and Wily Corn Trolls will try to become king of the losers' bracket, and Spider Pigs and the Skillets look to avoid finishing in 8th place of the playoff tournament.

I would just like to thank the Tribbles... The LT/Brady/Jackson stud farm was not something I wanted to go against.

May the best sci-fi creature win!

Not Thunderdome related, but in my big money total points FF league ($156 entry fee), I just climbed into first place after three straight weeks with the top score:

http://football35.myfantasyleague.com/2007/home/51925

It's a pretty tough league -- the team with Brady is currently 5th out of 12.

If I can hang on to the top spot, that will get me $720. I've already got $180 coming to me from the five #1 weekly finishes, so if I can finish with the gold, I will be getting almost half of the league prize money.

A lot of that is going to be predicated on how much playing time Peyton and LT get the last two weeks. I'm pretty sure Tomlinson will play unless the Chargers' games get out of hand in either direction, because if they win out they get the #3 seed in the AFC, and they avoid Jacksonville in the first round, and New England in the second round in that case. Not so sure about Manning, I have to admit, since they are locked into the #2 seed no matter what.

It's been a wild season in that league. I was in dead last after three weeks, 11th out of 12 after five, but have since had two three-week explosions in Weeks 6-8 and 13-15. My team has been all over the map in the HDL, but with a little luck, it will pay off big. Second place is $360, third is $120, neither of which would be too shabby, but now that I'm this close to winning it, I sure wouldn't mind getting it.
