Wow. That was a very close call for the pats. I think Pittsburgh about has their gameplan laid out for them.

To take nothing away from Baltimore, but for the second week in a row, the Patriots played poorly.

From dropped balls, missed blocks, missed tackles, the Patriots did not play well at all.

And won.

And let's not forget, "shutting us down" still allowed us to score 27 points.

I don't think Pittsburg is the team to beat us.

I have a lot of concerns about the Giants. They are going to be playing for something, and at that point, the Patriots won't. I think the Pats have played flat for two weeks anyway, and don't like our chances.

sadly, i didn't watch the game but was stunned to see it was 10-10 into halftime. what was the final?

BB, as a giants fan, i feel completely confident in saying that the pats will kick their asses, short of eli having a game that like brady had been having until lately. and he won't until coughlin frigging rests burress a week.

i expect the giants to drop 2 more games on the season, but no more. philly, it depends i think on who's under center. after that are the 'skins at home and i think that team's done, to be frank. the bills are an interesting challenge, then the regular season finale against the pats.

the pats will be on the road but it's a stadium they play in once/season anyway, plus apparently the winds aren't quite as unpredictable since the last set of luxury boxes went in.

the giants have a healthy burress and secondary, the game will be fun to watch, b/c they need burress to stretch the pats dbs. otherwise, i think brady will eat them alive.

yes, the giants d coordinator is a jim johnson (philly's d coordintor) disciple, and yes, they have that 4 DE package. but while NE's o-line has given up sacks lately, i think that's not indicative of the team that will visit giants stadium.

i expect the giants to drop either the philly or washington game, just to make things exciting, and i expect them to get crushed by the pats.

i used to think that maybe the giants could pull out that game if the pats have already locked homefield--maybe belichick rests the first team--but you guys have convinced me differently. and belichick's too good a coach to let brady get his jersey muddied for the rest of the season. i just don't see it.

Final score was 27-24 Pats. The Ravens blew several chances to put the game away, starting with beginning a drive at the Pats' 26 after a turnover already up 24-17. Boller threw an absolutely atrocious pick in which the four nearest players to the ball were all Patriots. The Pats' run D also stiffened in the 4th quarter after being pretty sieve-like in the first three quarters, and they forced couple of three-and-outs in drives that came after they picked off Boller. There was also a very unfortunate time out that the Ravens' defensive coordinator called that negated what would have been a stuff of Brady on a 4th-and-1 QB sneak inside of two minutes to go in the game with the Ravens up 24-20.

Actually, if you look, Brady pulled up when he heard the whistle on the time out.

I'm not saying he would have made it otherwise, but it's possible.

Baltimore really did do everything possible to lose that game in the 4th, after doing everything possible to win it in the first 3.

Yup. In order to beat NE this year you have to not do anything wrong.

I think Pittsburgh has a shot. Not a real good one, but a shot.

If the Pats are 15-0 going into the last game I see them crushing the Giants. If they make it to 15-0 I can't see them tripping over their own feet on their way to a perfect season weather the game has playoff implications or not.

The answer will come when Bellicheck secures homefield throughout. Once he's got that we'll see what he does. If he sits his starters then we know he's not trying to go undefeated. If he pours it on though...

Which they do this week with a win and an Indy Loss.

3 weeks of lower tier opponents vs a fully healthy team in the playoffs.

It's a tough call.
