Carm, the kicker you're currently starting is on a bye.

Thanks. Will get to it tonight.

Sounds like The Demolition and Tribbles are both having trouble accessing the league website. I'll do the requested lineup switches tonight.

I would just like to take a moment to say Fox sucks!

All Day, baby. All. Day.

All Day, baby. All. Day.

Until he tragicly suffers an ACL tear on a random sideline tackle in week 10 and his career comes to a screeching halt. :sawink2:

But damn that was amazing.

I'm just glad that I'm in a reasonable position to try and win my game.

According to my calculations the Demolition had a decent week. Can somebody tell me If I won or in a good position to take a win?

Or am going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel at 1-8?

Evidently, the Fox scoring method doesn't count 2-pt conversions. Not for the 2 points, not for the reception, and not for the yards.

<shrug> It really didn't matter in my game, but I figure I may as well warn the rest of you.

It should. I'm pretty sure I checked that box when setting up the scoring rules. I'll take a look when I get the chance.

The game comes down to whether Heath Miller has a good day. Your ahead by 8.8 pts

Turns out I did not check the 2 pt. conversion box, or at least it isn't checked in the scoring system. I'm going to leave it that way so as to avoid any possibility of changing the results of any already completed games. Sorry about that, I meant to check it, but it's just not there.

I'm ok with that. I don't think it would actually change any of the W/L results. Just a couple of the scores. (IIRC we've onlly had one game that was actually that close anyway.)

Nonsense. Now that he's scored 9 TDs in his first 8 games, I'm projecting him to score 180 TDs in his first ten seasons, during which he will never miss a game due to injury.

:D

It's currently Demolition 116.0 - Tribbles 114.5 as of Heath Miller's TD catch in the 1st quarter.

I lost. By 1pt

Sigh. Below 500 again

Tonight's game definitely taught me not to bench Big Ben for any reason -- thankfully I had All Day & Co. show big for me so no harm done. Roethlisberger is up to #2 in TD passes (20) this season after tonight's game, and that's pretty much what all the QBs not named Brady are fighting for at this point.

You're still the #4 seed in the league right now, though, and that's ultimately all that matters. If your club makes the playoffs, you'll have just as much of a chance as the other playoff teams.

Just what happened?

I was losing, but now I seem to have won? And Heath Miller went from 7.8pts to 0pts while the SD D/ST went from about 8 to 20

San Diego we have a problem!!!

It looks like sometime between last night and this morning the scoring data from last nights game got lost or otherwise FUBAR'd. Records have been updated sans that information.

Kalzazz
11-06-2007, 12:45 PM
In particular the Pittsburgh data went poof

Heath Miller, Ben Roethlesberger, Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh D/ST . . . all at 0pts

Detritus

The Pittsburgh-Baltimore stuff disappearing has to be some sort of database tangle. I'm going to give that a day to clear up, and if it doesn't, I'll change the scores, probably tomorrow night.

For the San Diego D/ST, what happened there is that, as of last night, Antonio Cromartie's 109-yard missed FG return for a TD must not have been credited to the Chargers' D/ST, when it should have been. It's basically a punt return since the kicked ball crossed the line of scrimmage, it just happened to be a placekick. Since the ball did not leave the field of play, it was free to be returned.

After all is said and done, Tribbles and The Avenged Wookies should be winners for Week 9. If the MNF situation doesn't clear up by Wed. night, I will manually adjust scores to reflect what happened last night.

Tribbles are happy. And they actually saw that on TV since was a big highlite

Detritus

Looks like the MNF stats are back to being accounted for in the scoring. Standings have been updated to reflect these changes.

IT appears to have corrected itself. Here's to hoping that next week's showdown with Mr. "All day" does not include "Out of doors."

Our game this week has the potential to reach crazy high scoring. You've got Parker and Holmes going up against the rusty hinge that is the Cleveland Browns D, and I'll have Roethlisberger, assuming he is fit to play this week. If Baltimore trots out the same JV secondary they used vs. Pittsburgh, Houshmazilli could go off. I'm going to have Lee Evans going up against the Miami secondary that gave up 5 first-half TD passes to Tom Brady a few weeks back and Greg Jennings vs. the Minny secondary that was worst in the league going into last week's game with the Chargers. Peyton to Dallas Clark is always a hookup that's a threat to go off big, and Peterson is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Should be fun.

Yeah. Neither of us have any match ups that are really bad. It's going to be a high scoring point fest I hope. :D

Roethlisberger having a big game is perfectly cool as long as part of that big game involves Miller being a useful part of it

Similarly Manning's big game needs to involve Addai
