...why I let Puck have a set of +5 throwing returning vorpal kukri.
I don't see why he was so worried. He's got a ring of nine lives. :D

It's even funnier than that. He never fumbled when using the kukri in the last umpteen sessions we played, but, as we assembled for today's first session, I saw this huge light bulb go on over his head.
You see, I have a house rule where a natural '1' is a critical fumble threat. Confirm with another natural '1' and it's a Reflex save against hitting yourself. Fumble that and you've critted yourself.

So you were counting on his bad dice-fu to kill him off? Now that is a wicked GM... =^_^=

i think every GM origen plays under has that plan, to a greater or less degree of explicitness. :>

I know that, as his PCs, we often take his dice into consideration when planning our strategy.
Poor little fella.

Didn't think you were supposed to tell him that... =^_^= Rule nr 1 for players, never point out any exploitable flaws to the gm...

Well, he knows...
It's just there's nothing he can do about it, except what he HAS done about it, which is to infect MY random number generation to compensate.
I have thirteen kabbalists coming over tonight for the exorcism.

Yeah, I never put two and two together with the vorpal weapons and the crit fumbles. That was a bit of a surprise.
Glad I got rid of them.

Wow. I'd be hopping mad if that was me. Good thing it's a high level game where death is only a mild amusement.

Hey, like I said, I don't see why he was so worried. I gave him a ring of nine lives. :D

I can see the look of surprise on his decapitated head as the kukri lands next to it.

He's done that to all our random number generaters. I have a house shoe, rabbits foot, four leaf clover, and my lucky five dollar chip from the casino on my desk during games to try to counteract his effect but it's an uphill battle.
:edit:: make that a horse shoe ::edit::

KNowing our local bard and how he rolls, it has to be to counter the effects of his bad luck.
