Week 16 starts off with GB at Minny tomorrow night, and KC visits Oakland on Saturday night. The FF matchups:

Championship - AJFederation vs. The Avenging Wookies

3rd Place Game - Archmages vs. Wily Corn Trolls

5th Place Game - The Demolition vs. 2nd Helping Skillets

7th Place Game - Neanderthals vs. The Alcatraz Inmates

You'll have to track down any relevant injuries on your team yourself this week...

Good luck.

My goal is to avoid finishing last.
(Even though if I win or tie, I have a winning record.)

Two plays into the second quarter tonight Donald Driver has 4 catches for 50 yards. Hasn't scored, yet.

Driver wound up netting AJF 7.20 points. He was the only player in the league going tonight.

Larry Johnson scored 15.95 points for WCT

Trent Green, Eddie Kennison, Tony Gonzalez, Lawrence Tynes, and the Oakland D/ST scored 36.21 for The Alcatraz Inmates.

Well, it looks like Seattle kept LT out of the end zone on the Chargers' first possession. Kind of an interesting situation with the AJF lineup, having both LT and the Seattle D in there with the Chargers playing the Seahawks. Might limit the combined ceiling a little. I'll attach updated scores when the Rams-Skins game ends.

...and, that game ended with the best possible outcome for the Wookies -- a game-winning TD run by Steven Jackson. Here are the scores as of that run:

Ah, if only I had benched Steve Smith for Lee Evans last week, I would be on my way to the championship right now. But, I didnt, so I'm just full-throttle reaching for the bronze instead, at present.

Why, oh why did I substitute Tiki for Betts?
<bangs head on wall>

<shrug> I know why I did. Tiki's been electric the past two weeks, it's his last home game ever, he's a leader of the offense, and he was facing the 2nd worst run defense in the league.
So even if the Giants were self-destructing, they should be able to rally behind him for one last game, right?
Obviously, the answer was "wrong".

Furrey had a stellar game, and I wish I'd started him, but with him going up against the Bears, it's not something I'm going to kick myself over.

Philip Rivers is 0-9 passing at the moment, about mid-way through the 2nd quarter of the SD-Seattle game. I guess that is one way to slow down LT.

EDIT -- Oh, there he is, 62-yard run. Had to come out after that for a couple of plays...

EDIT2 -- TD pass to Vincent Jackson. No soup for LT that drive.

Here are the scores at halftime of Chargers-Seahawks. LT is going to have to dust off his red cape pretty soon here if AJF are going to rally...

Seattle just had a kick return for a TD called back...

Here are the scores as of the end of the afternoon games. There isn't a game tonight, but there are two games tomorrow, Cowboy-Eagles and Jets-Dolphins. The championship will be decided upon completion of the Dallas/Philly game; Terry Glenn needs to outscore TO and Reggie Brown by 22.32 points for AJF to claim the title, otherwise The Avenging Wookies will be this year's champs. If Laveranues Coles does not outscore the Dallas D/ST by 38.53 points, then the WCT are the bronze medalists this year.

That TD pass to TO right before halftime of the Cowboys-Eagles puts the Wookies up by nearly 30 points. They are sitting pretty at this point...

OK, The Avenging Wookies are (unofficially) the 2006 champions of the GE&R/Thunderdome Fantasy Football League. They have a ~ 31-point lead, so even though things are still technically unofficial, it's over. Congratulations to them. Bastards.

2nd Helping Skillets are the winners of the Consolation Tournament/5th place. WCT have a ~ 47.5-point lead over Archmages, who still have Laveranues Coles going in tonight's game. Assuming the Trolls hang on, they will earn their first playoff victory in four tries and 3rd place in the tournament.

Neanderthals are presently chasing 18.25 points, the total that (EDIT -- The Jets' D/ST) and Chris Chambers must surpass with their combined output in tonight's Dolphins-Jets game on order for them to rally over The Alcatraz Inmates.

Unofficial final scores are attached. I don't think there is any controversy with the scoring, so it is just a matter of Yahoo turning the crank. The playoff standings:

Champion: The Avenging Wookies

Runner-up: AJFederation

3rd Place: Wily Corn Trolls

4th Place: Archmages

5th Place: 2nd Helping Skillets

6th Place: The Demolition

7th Place: The Alcatraz Inmates

8th Place: Neanderthals

Congratulations/condolences as warranted.

Thanks. I considered it my duty to smash drama boy into the ground. Hopefully he's off getting crap from judgement boy as we speak. :sawink2:

Going from zero to hero leaves me feeling quite happy I must say. :D
