As per Origens instructions...

Aefe would like to have some flash powder explosives to go with her flame thrower.

I'm thinking a perchlorate sodium blend (composition #2 at the link). It will ignite with heat and become explosive. It's the consistency of heavy flour and is ignited/detonated by flame.

1 to 3 parts --- POTASSIUM PERCHLORATE<br> 1 part --------- SODIUM SALICYLATE, USP, fine powder

It seems to me that thick plastic baggies would work for this stuff in a padded thermal pouch (like for a ice pack).

I love the link name. :D

So, can I have it?

[edit] Um... don't try this at home.

and here is the site listing the Dept. of Treasury's list of official explosives.

Both the sodium nitrate one I've listed above and the magnesium one I was initially gunning for are listed.

2 things:

1. What effect do you expect this to have, in-game?

2. What is your skill in Demolitions?

2 things:

1. What effect do you expect this to have, in-game?

2. What is your skill in Demolitions?

1. Residual damage/ignition of a wider area than the flame thrower alone, impacting secondary targets, not just primary. Increased damage for the flame thrower.

2. My demo skill is at +10 right now.

(and it impacts the finer points of alchemy too, no pun intended. :D)

Okay, so you have the skill to deal with the stuff.

But I'm a little unclear on the dispersion angle. In order to effect secondary targets, it seems from the you listed that they need to be covered with the powder. A jell pack isn't going to do that, in my understanding.

Nope. I'd have to throw it on them, or spray it somehow.

Since we don't have a viable delivery method for this effect, I'm going to nix it for tonight's game.

Turns out I'm going to be on a greyhound bus tonight rather than at the game so it's for the best anyway. :(

*unhappy sigh*
