I expected them to be slimy, but are they always squishy?

My recipe said to boil water, pour over noodles, and soak for 15 minutes.

How do you do it?

I'll try less soaking next time, then.

In the colander, devoid of any soup, they really looked like something I'd create in the lab. :D
