Since no one else is posting about the heck of fun game we had on Thursday and the other cel has already done this part....I'll start.

With our preparation on ditching the bug in the car (see the other thread with the story) we made it to Rita Mae's beat up trailer just in time before she got the heck out of dodge.

After some fun banter (I loved her holding her shotgun on Steve and making him stand in the corner) she told Mike (and by extension the rest of us) what we wanted to know. Namely, where the other monster egg was. She also gave us a bag of sand that when poured into someones hand will tell if they're human or............something else....

She ditched at that point, and we headed off for the remote shed and the box where it was stored, with strict instructions that if we touched the thing inside the box it could take us over or worse.

We pulled up to the rickety shed which was padlocked shut. And this was Aefe's finest hour of the evening... Jimmy, the hardened criminal couldn't pick the simple lock. Aefe tried and it nearly melted in her hand it came off so easily. (sad when that's the finest hour for your character but I'll take what I can get. )

Once inside we carefully opened the box and were instantly made nervous. Jerry did a great job of making this part tense.

Inside the box was a body. Shriveled and gray with eyes that took up a large amount of it's face. In one hand it held a crystal with a dark shape in the center. Jimmy could have sworn the shape in the crystal moved but the rest of us didn't see anything. It didn't matter though because the unnaturalness of it had us all freaked out.

Steve ductaped the box shut and Aefe scrawled a little cartoon on the box which we loaded in the back seat of the car (after a bit of debate about who had to sit next to the freaky thing).

And then, off to base to turn the thing into the Government Priest who had sent us out. When he saw what was in the box he had us all get away from it while he called in the Hazmat crew which with great and horrible care put the crystal in a sealed box and took everything away.

And worst of all, he doesn't know what the proximity we had to the thing may have harmed us.

The rest we'll find out at the debriefing the next day. But that's for another game.

I loved the reaction Steve got when he spoke to her in Navajo...

I'm not sure what's going on with Mike, though.

He's taking some time to warm up to the rest of the group, and it worries me.
