The great question of modern society: "What kind of pizza do you like?"
There are countless toppings and combos yet when it's take out, it always feel likes a compromise.
So what is your favorite pizza like?
-What kind of crust?
-What kind of cheese?
-Veggies?
-Meat?
-Unorthodox stuff?
My own answers later. ;)

-What kind of crust? Thick crust, thank you.
-What kind of cheese? What? There's a choice? Mozzarella and sometimes cheddar.
-Veggies? Yes.
-Meat? Yes.
-Unorthodox stuff? I dunno -- Some people consider pineapple unorthodox. I've also had pizza with jalapenos and I've had (cheeseburger) pizza with pickles.
My favorite though is any kind of combination with lots of onions, veggies, cheese, mushrooms, olives, and different kinds of meat. The more the merrier!
Maybe you should have asked white sauce or red? Again, though, I have a hard time choosing. I think I'll say white.
I'm having take-n-bake pizza tonight. Yum!

Prefer really thin crust. I can eat pan-pizzas but it is not my primary choice. Pan-pizzas should be all veggie with big crunchy veggies and lots and lots of them.
As for cheese wasn't aware there were a choice. I have no idea what they put on.
Veggies: yes. Bell-peppers. Also require lots of pizza-salad (made out of cole), to be served alongside the pizza. Not on it, even if I eat the salad togeter with the pizza.
Meat: well either ham (in small pieces) or thin slices of kebab-meat.
As for unorthodox, it depends on what type of pizza. I like mushrooms (especially champignons), though they MUST be fresh. Canned champignons taste and feel like rubber. Sometimes I might go for some bananas on the pizza, especially if it is soemthing that is supposed to be spicy. If it is a kebab-pizza, then you hvae to have fresh veggies on and some kebab-sauce as well as lots of pepperoni's (as in the green chili-fruit)

We must have had this discussion recently on the main board, because I can still remember getting my hackles up over it.
I am a pizza purist; which means I like it made in the traditional Neopolitan style:
-thin crust
-buffalo mozzarella
-roma tomatoes
-basil
-brick oven baked (or at the very least, on a stone)
-folded or torn; never cut

Personally I think the stone-oven is way overrated. We have one restaurant here my hometown that does them that way. Ok, the pizzas smell absolutely wonderful and are definetly inducing hunger, but the taste left a lot to be desired. I mean frozen pizzas that you microwave tasted better imo.

Pepperoni and mushroom is my favorite, maybe because I never get to have it because my boy doesn't like mushrooms. Sometimes we compromise and get pepperoni w/ half mushrooms. We get ham and pineapple a lot too.

Personally, I don't care how thick or thin my crust is as long as it's tasty.
-Cheese wise, I dislike cheese. I only use enough mozzarella to keep the ingredients in place.
-No bell peppers, no mushrooms, I hate both of them.
-For the rest, I like hot peppers, onions and other seasonning veggies (like garlic and such) and plenty of meat (doesn't matter which kind really).
-Slices of tomatoes I can accept, but not pineapple (I don't like cooked sweet fruit with my meat).
I'll pass on other toppings. No sea food for example.
Basically, if it's hot'n'spicy and meaty, I'll devour it.

So what is your favorite pizza like?
-What kind of crust? I like a thin crust with toppings all the way to the edge, or alternatively thin crust with soft edible "bones". No cheese-stuffed crust for me, thankyouverymuch.
-What kind of cheese? I'm partial to mozzarella, provolone, and feta, but not so fond of cheddar on pizza.
-Veggies? Spinach (with feta) would be my favorite, but my pizza-veggie tolerance has increased quite a bit lately.
-Meat? Ham/Canadian bacon, preferentially paired with pineapple.
-Unorthodox stuff? Erm, probably not. I like peanut butter on cheeseburgers, but I haven't tried it on a pizza. Maybe peanut butter and banana pizza? Peanut butter and banana sushi rolls are pretty good (sans fish of course).
...and an otherwise perfect pizza is completely boring without some herbs.

Thick crust, tons of cheese, lots of tomato goo, and oodles of meat.

My preference* is:
Thin crust, sauce, mozza/provolone, peperoni, some vegetables (tomatoes or peppers will do) and herbs. a drizzle of olive oil. I've recently have had an aversion of the all meat pizza.
Although I like the "canadian" toppings.
The best pizza I've had was in Roma, which was pretty much on par with Tony's description, but it had an egg on it, IIRC. It's been 15 years. It was perfect. You left the table satiated, not overfull.

So what is your favorite pizza like? My favorite pizza is often the one that I'm eating. I know what I like vs what I don't but there's a wide variety of what I like.
-What kind of crust? Both. Either. Maybe a slight preferrence for a thick crust. I like both a thin crisp crust and the flexible NY-style crust. I'm not a pizza snob. All the various regional styles have something to be recommended.
-What kind of cheese? Haven't found one I dislike yet. I usually avoid the yellow cheeses when ordering at a restaurant but freely use them when cooking at home.
-Veggies? I prefer a tomato-based sauce but don't like chunks or slices of tomato. I like onions, black olives, bell pepper, spinach, garlic, mushroom, and probably a couple of others I can't remember right now.
-Meat? I've quit asking for sausage on pizza due to the side variety of what different places consider edible sausage. I also don't care for seafood pizza. I like pepperoni, ham, canadian bacon, bacon sometimes, chicken sometimes, and ground beef.
-Unorthodox stuff? Not too much unorthodox. Pineapple and hot peppers together.
