In my opinion, homemade cola would taste a lot like generic colas and not everyone likes the generic stuff.


How much cola must you brew before you get the savings, if any?

Buying it in the store is definitely easier. This isn't going to save you a ton of money, this is something you do for fun.

On the fun meter, this doesn't score very high in my book.

Making your own pizza toppings, or ice cream sunday is way more fun. Unless you add some "special" ingredients to your cola.

A "hard cola" that was ~ 5% alcohol by volume might be an interesting variant. Don't know how you'd do it, though.
