OK, for Week 15, we start the playoff and the consolation bracket.

The Seattle/San Fran game is the Thursday game, and the Dallas/Atlanta game is the Saturday game.

Injuries/healings of note:

Darrell Jackson is OUT with a sprained toe.

Kevin Jones just went on Injured Reserve, so he is OUT for the remainder of the season.

Ben Watson left the game early and will likely be listed as Questionable.

Chester Taylor missed last week with an accumulation of injury, the worst of which were his ribs, but looks like he'll be back this week.

Ronnie Brown will most likely be OUT for a third straight week while recuperating from hand surgery.

Joseph Addai will be listed as Questionable for Week 15 with an ankle injury.

Travis Henry will be listed as Questionable for Week 15 with his own ankle injury.

Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood will both likely miss Saturday's game vs. Dallas.

Thomas Jones left last night's game early after rolling his ankle, but is expected to be fine for Week 15.

Marques Colston played for about half the game vs. Dallas, had leg cramps, but apparently no issues with his ankle. Unclear how effective he'll be in Week 15.

Joe Horn didn't suit up in Week 14, and is still pretty iffy for Week 15.

Hines Ward might play for Week 15, but it's still in the air.

Fred Taylor tweaked a hammy but said that he could have returned if necessary. Maurice Jones-Drew also left with some fatigue/soreness, but should be fine for Week 15. Both guys were probably just tuckered out after gashing the Indy run defense.

Willis McGahee puked in the middle of the Buffalo-NYJ game, but did return to finish. He didn't seem to suffer much in the way of ill effects from his rib or ankle injuries.

Isaac Bruce could be seen hobbling towards the end of last night's game, but he did play the final two StL offensive snaps after the onset of his limp.

Greg Jennings is in rough shape with an ankle injury, but will likely play through it.

Randy Moss might actually have a leg injury to accompany his customary crapulence this season.

If I come across more injury news, I'll let everyone know.

Good luck to all.

Good news for the chump who drew him this week, too. :D

I might have a chance, The trolls forgot to replace a WR. Big fat zero for that, now if Bree's has another great day, and Gates do decent, who knows, I might have a chance for the victory. Well lets see what will happen.

It was actually the Wookies who left Darrell Jackson in their lineup.

I'd like to keep all the posts about this week's FF matchups in this thread, too.

Grumble. I THOUGHT I had like 15 minutes to spare before game start when I went to swap Djax for Berrian... Imagine my surprise when, oh no Wook, the game was already underway. <grumble>

D'oh! The start of the game was even pushed back like 15-20 minutes because of inclement weather and the fact that the turf in Seattle was "bubbling."

Some further injury notes:

Joe Horn is presently listed as Doubtful. He might not play this rest of the regular season.

Ben Watson is still Questionable but he's been seen with a sleeve around his knee and shin, and the Patriots signed TE OJ Santiago this week. They also signed another TE to their practice squad, I believe.

Warrick Dunn will play tonight, but Jerious Norwood is inactive. Justin Griffiths will probably get some carries tonight for the Falcons.

Laurence Maroney has some torn rib cartilage. Unclear if he'll be out or play with a flak jacket tomorrow.

Hines Ward has been upgraded to Probable.

I'm hearing tell that Darrell Jackson might already be ruled Out for Seattle's Week 16 game. DJ Hackett got a lot of looks in place of Jackson on Thursday vs. SF.

Two TD passes to TO, good for the Wookies. Dallas INT return for a TD, good for the Trolls. Three Michael Vick TD passes, not so good for the Trolls, but the Dallas D/ST (14.55) is holding its own vs. Hasselbeck, Josh Brown, Seattle D/ST, and Glenn (13.50 combined for those four players) through the first half of tonight's game.

11 for 69 and two TD's rushing and 4 for 27 receiving for Barber (18.9 if I calculated correctly) very good for The Demolition

Here are the updated scores, with Thursday's and Saturday's players in parentheses:

AJFederation - 18.80 (Hasselbeck, J. Brown, Seattle, T. Glenn)
Wily Corn Trolls - 19.40 (Dallas)

The Alcatraz Inmates - 0.00
The Demolition - 39.85 (S. Alexander, M. Barber, M. Gramatica)

2nd Helping Skillets - 0.00
Neanderthals - 18.80 (F. Gore)

Archmages - 0.00
The Avenging Wookies - 16.70 (D. Jackson, T. Owens)

The WCT are very glad that Dallas is outscoring 4 of the AJF starters, but are still somewhat concerned by that LT fellow. Apparently a few of the players on the KC defense had some dismissive things to say about Tomlinson after the Chargers lost at Arrowhead, which he remembers quite clearly. I wouldn't put a 5-score game out of reach for a pissed off LT. Maybe even 6. *shudders*

I've attached scores as of halftime of the Bears-Bucs game. I'll be in the lab this afternoon and possibly this evening, so we'll just have to see how updates go the rest of the day...

Yeah, and the Skillets should have started Peyton over Brunell...

I decided to eat lunch before going to the lab, so there will be one last screen capture update. I'll probably post a text update between the late games and the night game, and then another before I go to bed.

Man, Bulger is killing me. Should've held on to Vick, I guess...

Here are the scores, with live players in parentheses:

AJFederation – 46.10 (L. Tomlinson)
Wily Corn Trolls – 48.44 (L. Johnson, R. Wayne)

The Avenging Wookies – 113.38
Archmages – 47.69 (A. Gates, San Diego, Rudi Johnson)

2nd Helping Skillets – 52.85 (T.J. Houshmandzadeh, S. Graham)
Neanderthals – 62.95

The Alcatraz Inmates – 32.51 (E. Kennison, D. Hall, T. Gonzalez, L. Tynes)
The Demolition – 65.95 (C. Palmer, M. Harrison)

AJF-WCT is still a dogfight, I'd guess WCT will be down somewhere around 8 points going into MNF. The Wookies look like they've secured a berth in the finals, unless there is some HEE-YUGE rallying going on for Archmages tonight and tomorrow. The Demolition look like they are in decent shape for advancing to the consolation bracket finals, and I'd guess that the Skillets have a rally in them tomorrow night.

Well, that didn't take very long for LT to score TD #1. Need some answers from Gram-ma-ma.

TD #2 was a monster of a run LT allready has 141 yards and 2 TDs at the half. And thats on only 9 runs!

How do you stop this guy?

Detritus

I decided to do a screen capture for this update. The Skillets can rally past Neanderthals if Housh + Graham can score a smidgen over 10 points. WCT need a huge game out of Wayne to rally -- 4-50-2 or 10-140-1, something like that. I think Wayne's 3-TD game vs. Denver is the only time he's topped 15.5 points this season, so purely based on games this season, the Trolls are a 12-1 underdog. I'm not sure things will even advance to the point of there being suspense tomorrow night...

I don't want to face either of you in the finals. :sawink2: Rudi would have to have the most monster night ever by a RB to win it but I'm not going to count that as outside the realm of possibility just yet. It's unlikely but not impossible with that o so porous Indy run D.

I still can't belive I passed on LT because I thought teams would focus on him with a first year starter at QB.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I picked LJ. Bummer. I think Gregory would've picked LT had he been around for the start of the draft, but still, what might have been...

Well, it's gotten closer. Needed to have those four TDs split 2/2 between Wayne and Harrison, not 1/3. Wayne needs another score in the 4th quarter for the WCT rally. It'd be nice if Cincy can punch it in on their current drive...

...or not. Need a scoring bomb to Wayne soon, I think, else it won't happen.

Detritus
12-18-2006, 11:24 PM
Well, Indy's up 34-16 with 5 1/2 minutes to go, and AJF still have a 3.5 point lead over WCT. I think that's pretty close to how things will end up, unless something really strange happens.

It's official for the Championship Week schedule:

Title game - AJFederation vs. The Avenging Wookies

3rd place game - Archmages vs. Wily Corn Trolls

5th place game - The Demolition vs. 2nd Helping Skillets

7th place game - The Alcatraz Inmates vs. Neanderthals

If I have time I'll do a quick injury rundown, but it's going to be kind of a busy week, so I don't know if I'll get a chance. Each owner is ultimately responsible for learning about his team's injuries...

Good luck to all and sundry.
