View Full Version : F1 Season kicks off in Melbourne
First race of the season is this weekend and I'm very curious as to how it's all going to shake down with such a major change of drivers and without Michael Schumacher.
Does anyone else follow F1?
<we so ought to have a vrooom smiley...>

If you send links and such Id be glad to look atYes, Montoya raced for Mclaren and left abruptly in the the middle of a lack lustre season.
The race today was interesting and won by Ferrari driver Raikkonnen with new British hopeful Hamilton coming in third behind his Mclaren team mate Alonso.
Reports here (http://www.itv-f1.com/Home.aspx)and here (http://f1.gpupdate.net/en/).

Interesting. I dont get it much, but the names are cool and very different from NASCAR
Kimi Raikkonnen in particular has a cool name
Juan Pablo Montoya driving the #42 car (I really like the 42 car since Jamie McMurray drove it) came in 5th in his 5th Nascar race

I don't watch it but it is still somewhat popular around here considering the first race in Melbourne is going to be broadcast and displayed on our IMAX screen.

Is anything in Houston or in Jasper/Lufkin area Haze?
The American GP is in Indianapolis (http://www.formula1.com/race/circuitmap/760.html)– June 17. I know that's not exactly close but it is at least in the same country. ;-)
