Kat,

I was curious how you go about choosing a location to set a particular scene in? I've read how you do research into the history of a particular place and/or location (your's is the only book I feel cool reading the notes at the end about all the locations), but is there something causes you to favor one location over another?

I personally wish an aspect of one of your stories would take place in a spooky or old hotel (I work for a hotel) and walking the hallways and dark rooms can be spooky at times...

Well, a lot depends on what's available in the area I'm working with, but I'd love to do a spooky hotel.

I'm currently working on proposals for the next books, since #6 is the last in contract and if we're going to do more, I have to give the publisher some ideas of what they will be about. I've been thinking I'd like to do a "haunted house" msytery, but a hotel is equally good or better.

It worked pretty well for Stephen King after all. ;)

You could go back to the Winchester Mystery House. I mean, it's probably been explored before, but it's possible that Mrs. Winchester could see the ghosts in the Grey and wasn't crazy.

Oooh, or Vegas! Harper could find Jimmy Hoffa! :D
