View Full Version : Trade bait
Mario Manningham OR Hackeem Nicks. I don't want them both and would be willing to entertain offers for a reasonable #2 TE or WR with similar numbers.
Anyone interested?

I have Jason Witten up for trade if your interested for Manningham.

Witten is a bit low. Manningham and Hicks are both solid #2 WR's. For a TE I'd expect someone with either a consistent predictable level of output or another #2 WR... Someone along the lines of Ochocinco...

Thats all I got to trade. *shrug* I'm a bit loaded in WR, so its not a high priority for me, but one neevr knows when injury strikes.....

My quandary isn't necessarily a need for a big talent infusion. I've got 2 guys from the same team with similar upside. I'm just hoping to diversify so my eggs aren't all in one basket is all. The last several weeks I've found myself wanting to start both but hesitating because of this. (It really is a bad idea usually.)

i'm shocked you have 2 WRs who are giants!

That are both worth having no less.
I drafted Nicks as a long shot that's paying nicely. Manningham was a Free agent pickup when Nicks was hurt that's worked out nicely.

Yeah. I understand wanting a variety. Too many eggs in one basket hurts.
Edit:
Wanna trade LT for him? :D

Low blow!

Actually with LT I'm hoping for him, (more likely), or Sproles, (less likely), to get hurt. At which point the other will be worthwhile but as it stands they're the poster children for a RBBC that's no good. Since all my other RB's have had their bye weeks I can play matchups with Grant/Hightower week to week and leave Barber and Williams in the starting slots through the rest of the season.

Buehler? No one wants a #2 WR?

All set at wide out but I'm still looking for a #1 RB. Westbrook is hurt and I can't wait for the cold weather and hope that brings up Forte's value.

What'cha say Pauly?
If I had acquired Miles Austin of off waivers (Damn you Detritus!) as a backup plan I might have said yes.
But with LT getting all the touches in San Diego I'd probably have Sproles riding the pine. and neither Nicks or Manningham have the value of Ward.
Ward has a bye this week so I really doubt you want to deal for him right now anyway.
But I'm still ready to deal for Barber or Williams.
Barber and williams are my starters for the rest of the season. I'd trade manningham or Nicks for Ward immediately. And I'm not sure what's informing your reasoning on LT/Sproles. Sproles is the one scoring TD's and double digit games. ;)
Oh and if Det hadn't trumped you, I was going to trump you. :sawink2: There was no way Austin was coming anywhere near your roster.

Yup, all three of 'em.
Tell ya what I'm gonna do. I'll trade you Ward for Ryan Grant and Manningham.

Well than damn you too!

And while we're at it I'll suck you off?
#13 RB for #13 WR. That's a pretty straight up trade. Manningham for Ward is a pretty straight up trade to. If that doesn't interest you that's fine but your proposed offer verges upon the insulting. :sawink2:

For Ward you offered me
Sproles, who by the ranked 13. Grant is 14th. Avg 10.6 point a game and Nicks avg 6.4 for a total of 17 PPG
I contered by asking for Grant Avg 9.9 and Manningham avg 8.0 total 17.9 PPG.
Not a hell of a lot of difference their. Sure as hell not enough to call it insulting.
I am asking for a bit more but you said you were ready to deal either Manningham or Nicks so I offered Ward for the better receiver but the lower quality RB. Truth is I dont have a lot of faith in either back so I want to get the best bang for my buck in the receiver end of the deal.
right so asking me to double up the PPG of Ward is a totally reasonable offer. Not. Hicks is average 9/gm for the games he played and that's including the 1pt turd he dropped in week one. Since coming back he's been offering up ~11 pts/gm with casual ease. 4 straight games with a TD even though Eli seems to be hitting his late season slump early.
Manningham has had more consistency over a longer time and is hanging up less than 1pt/gm less than Ward.
Sproles is putting out more pts/gm than Ward.
Any one of them would be a decent 1:1 trade for Ward. Asking for 2 better players is dumb. If you don't want to trade that's fine. But if you're going to make a counter offer it needs to be realistic. All I want is a comparable receiver that's on a different team. As is if I traded you Sproles I'd have to drop one of them and find a RB from waivers because I'm at the 6RB and 6WR caps.
I don't need to make my life difficult to give you a sweet one sided deal. :sawink2:

I just went back and took another look at the PM you sent me last week. I had missread it before and thought you were offering a two for one deal Nicks and Sproles for Ward.
I figured that you were trying to unload both of them because you didn't want to start two players on the same team (LT and Sproles, Manningham and Nicks) and just trying to get something for them rather than just have them sit on your bench. That and I know you have been lusting after Ward is the only reason had proposed that trade. Sorry about that.
What do you say for Ward and Westbrook for Nicks and Grant. Naturally much of this will have to do with Westbook's health but I wouldn't expect you to deal this week when Ward is on a bye.

Now you're speaking my language here. :sacool: Let me see how they fare this week all around and we'll talk. But I believe there's a deal in there somewhere to be had.
