Story here. (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4574995)

Looks like another undefeated season and no respect for Boise State is in the works. :sawink2: Between them and TCU I've got high hopes that we can have one of these teams force the NCAA to do something about this stupid cranial rectal inversion their football program has going on.

BCS standings suck. Sorry but there doesnt seem to be eitehr rhyme or reason to them.

Agreed that the BCS is crap but...

Boise State has an incredibly weak schedule. Florida, Texas, or Alabama, (or likely USC, Ohio State or VA Tech, would roll over them and put an end to the nonsense that going undefeated in the WAC is anywhere near the same as going undefeated in the Big Ten, SCC, PAC-10, etc.

You say that with such confidence. It's cute. Boise State has made a perpetual habit of defeating ranked teams whenever they play them for half a decade now. You're still buying into a large number of hideous assumptions I see.

Yeah, I'm impressed with a win over Oregon in week 1. *Yawn*

Boise State has it in their power to be legit. All they need to do is schedule out of conference games against legit teams. So long as they continue to be satisfied with staying in their little pond, and nibbling around the edges of the big schools, I see no reason to feel sorry for them, nor do I think they're being screwed.

Right. Because they can put anyone they want on their schedule. Like I said. You run on so many bad assumptions when it comes to this it's not even funny. It's entirely possible that Florida, 'Bama, or some other "Power" conference team might roll over them like a speed bump but frankly until they play the games it's just so much wankery.

Actually...they can.

Non-conference games are scheduled directly by the schools. So if Boise State wanted to play big program schools, they very easily could.

So when I say that they intentionally play a weak schedule...I'm right.

Seriously, what do you have to offer that indicates that Boisie State could hang with the big boys of college football? The fact that they win by avoiding them?
