so what do folks make of this spate of 3 OCs getting the axe in one week (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=4446286)? buffalo's jauron just fired OC turk schonert--and their season opener is 9 days away against division powerhouse, the new england patriots.

i'm unaware of any such examples. the ESPN guys describe it as stinking of desperation, and i don't think there's any other way to view it, myself.
Coaches like to set up a long line of fall guys before responsibility lands on their shoulders. 3 coaches bought themselves a little ablative armor over anticipated suckiness. I think that's pretty cynical on their part myself. (I very much buy into the TMQ take on this.)
