The Celtics became the first team in NBA history to start a season with a 27-2 record. Winning 19 games in a row is quite an accomplishment, but that still leaves them 14 games short of the 33-game streak the 1971-72 Lakers had. That's a record that may never be broken.

That season was absolutely AWESOME. I'm just sorry Elgin Baylor missed it by one season.

The Celtics were the team that snapped Houston's 22-game win streak last season:

That streak is #2 all-time in length, and #1 is 50% longer. #3 is 21 games, #4 is 20, etc.
