in the baltimore/pittsburgh game yesterday, there's been a lot of talk about whether it was/wasn't a TD. what's your view?

I don't think the call should have been overturned based on the replays I saw. Whether the ref had access to other angles or not, I can't say. What I would have called in real time had I been standing on the goal line I can't say, either. It didn't look like a TD to me when the play happened live.

This is essentially what I think as well.

without knowing what the ref saw it's hard to say. i'd like to believe that the ref saw something that clearly indicated the ball broke the plane. there was one angle NBC showed that IMHO showed the plane was broken.

well, i suppose we could implant GPS devices into the balls with beacons in the endzone pylons...

well then, perhaps not a GPS device per se, but still a transmitter of some type could work...
