Bears-Saints kicks off in about an hour, so be sure to get any players from those teams in your lineups.
This is for keeps, survive and advance, etc., etc.

Well, Drew Brees is sucking it pretty hard right now. Good news for the Posse.
EDIT -- Oh, there's a TD pass to Pierre Thomas after Orton fumbled on his own 1-yard line.

I'll be playing Aberrant after the early games are done, so if you want updates then, someone else needs to post them. I can do the early games.
Here are the scores heading into tomorrow's games:
Semifinals
WCT - 0.0
Wookies - 0.0
Neanderthals - 13.6 (Brees)
Posse - 0.0
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 2.6 (Bush)
Tribbles - 0.0
Demolition - 11.6 (Forte)
Skillets - 23.7 (P. Thomas)
The Trolls were fortunate to have Marques Colston's 13-point game occur on the Wookies' bench. The Posse's starting backfield is in disarray, with Jacobs out and Barber questionable for SNF. Everyone in the playoff bracket is lucky to see Rodgers/Forte/Westbrook/Boldin and Peyton/Pierre/Marshall/Welker/Housh in the Consolation Bracket. And Cutler/Turner/Williams, for that matter.

Scores as of Colts-Lions reaching halftime:
Semifinals
WCT - 17.4
Wookies - 31.7
Neanderthals - 73.4
Posse - 52.0
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 18.5
Tribbles - 22.1
Demolition - 28.7
Skillets - 51.8
Neanderthals will be out of players after the early games, but the Posse still have four guys on tap. Wookies are going 6-on-4 vs. the Trolls right now, with both teams' QBs and the Trolls' D/ST still to play.

Scores just before kickoff of Vikings-Cards:
Semifinals
WCT - 30.8
Wookies - 51.3
Neanderthals - 91.5
Posse - 68.0
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 40.3
Tribbles - 54.3
Demolition - 38.1
Skillets - 83.4
Calvin Johnson is sitting at 99 receiving yards right now, with the Lions to get the ball back down 31-21 with a minute and change remaining. Garbage time points, come to Papa...
EDIT -- Just as I wrote that bit about Johnson, he caught a pass for 11 yards, and then fumbled it away. I guess it's still a net +1.5 points for the Trolls, but it could have been 3.5 points.

Three carries for 14 yards for Peterson on the opening drive, but no TD. Alas.
We'll see what Warner and Fitz do on their first possession...
EDIT -- 1-3, 3 yards, completion was to Boldin. Not the best of starts to this game for the Trolls.
EDIT 2 -- Whoa, Berrian ran the punt back for an 82-yard TD. The Skillets pick up 10 points for that effort. And Peterson keeps off the field.

Well, the Cards look like ass right now. A lot of that is the Vikings doing, but still. Need a whole lot of throwing by Warner and handoffs to Peterson the rest of the way, otherwise it isn't going to be the Trolls' week.

So, if the Trolls lose this week, they're out of the finals?
That is how playoffs work, yes.
I get the feeling that this game is going to turn on what Romo does, or does not, accomplish this evening.

Scores as of halftime of the Vikings-Cards:
Semifinals
WCT - 49.3
Wookies - 52.5
Neanderthals - 96.9
Posse - 87.6
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 73.3
Tribbles - 71.3
Demolition - 47.6
Skillets - 113.5
Trolls need some TDs out of Warner, Fitz, and Peterson in the 2nd half, else it'll be trouble. The Posse still have Eli and Derrick Ward in the SNF game, so they are looking in good shape. Everyone in the playoff bracket should be happy that the Skillets are in the consolation bracket.

Bz'zap! ;)
You may still be right, but there's a lot of time left, and the game situation in Arizona is tilted in my favor (Minnesota on the lead = Peterson running, Arizona behind = Warner throwing). You need both D's to come up big this half.

Actually, it's Antonio Bryant we should be thanking.
I think that might be it for Warner's day, and he ended up with just the TD to Urban. I don't think that's going to be enough for the Trolls, but it could still be close.
Hey ****,
Been trying to call you. Drop me a line.
Phone is dead. I'll go drop it on the charger and call you sometime during the evening game.
Romo could also do amazingly naughty things to my ears yet as well I should point out so this is by no means over or certain.

Here are the scores heading into SNF, with players yet to play in parentheses:
Semifinals
WCT - 73.1 (Witten)
Wookies - 59.3 (Romo)
Neanderthals - 96.9
Posse - 101.9 (Eli Manning, Derrick Ward)
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 88.2
Tribbles - 80.3 (TO; MNF -- Philly D/ST)
Demolition - 48.7 (Boss, NYG D/ST; MNF -- Westbrook)
Skillets - 113.0 (Folk)
I'm crediting the Trolls with +2 points because Yahoo is currently charging Adrian Peterson with a lost fumble that was overturned by replay. Romo spotting Witten 13.8 points is pretty close to pick 'em territory. If Romo can get 2 TDs to guys other than Witten, that will probably be enough for the Wookies to pull it out. If not, the Trolls probably carry the day, although there's also room for Romo to have a high-efficiency completion percentage, too.
It'll be interesting to see how the whole TO-Witten-Romo bitchfest works out tonight. I say freeze TO out of the game plan and involve Witten heavily to punish Owens.

So the Tribbles need to pull 8pts from TO and the Eagles D for glorious victory (or as glorious as you can get in the also-ran bracket)?

That was a classic Romo maneuver to extend the play before the scoring pass. Bitch.
That's one of the two TDs not to Witten. It's very close now. A second TD not to Witten would be a back-breaker for the Trolls.

If Romo and Witten have the same second halves scoring wise as their first halves, the Wookies will pull it out by 2.6.
Eli is not doing the Posse any favors with his -3.0 points in the first half. I think they'll still be OK. The tricky move would have been to leave the QB spot open with a 5-point lead, IMO.

Trolls by 5.0, Posse by 2.1 heading into the 4th quarter in Dallas.

He fumbled the ball out of the back of the end zone, too. Right now, Yahoo isn't listing it, but I'm pretty sure that should count as a lost fumble. Even if it isn't, it's a tie game, and a tie goes to the higher seed.

I'm unsure about that...but we'll see.
ESPN isn't listing it as a fumble but ESPN isn't showing the safety score either so I dunno.

I'm reverting to the Yahoo-listed scores, as I'll explain in a bit:
Semifinals
WCT - 75.6
Wookies - 76.7
Neanderthals - 96.9
Posse - 98.3
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 88.2
Tribbles - 82.8 (Philly D/ST)
Demolition - 64.2 (Westbrook)
Skillets - 115.0
Here's the fumble situation in the Trolls-Wookies game:
Adrian Peterson actually did lose a fumble momentarily, but it was overturned on replay, yet Yahoo is presently charging him with a lost fumble. That should be +2 for the Trolls.
Dwayne Bowe, for some unfathomable reason, is being charged with a lost fumble. Nothing in the play-by-play from the Chargers-Chiefs game indicates that he even lost a fumble that was overturned, let alone that he actually turned the ball over. That should be +2 for the Wookies.
Romo's safety occurred after a sack and the ball rolling out of the end zone. The refs might have blown the whistle before the fumble, although the ball was definitely out before he was down by contact. Even if this is ruled a fumble, I'm not completely sure whether it counts as a turnover if you lose a fumble that results in a safety. Now that I think about it, I'm guessing not, but as I said, I don't know for sure. So, no firm idea whether this will be a -2 for the Wookies or not. We'll see when Yahoo turns the crank tonight.

The fumble is listed in the NFL.com play-by-play, but I think it's not a turnover because Dallas retains possession in order to make the free kick after the safety. Therefore my best guess for the score of the Wookies-Trolls game is 78.7-77.6 in favor of the Wookies.
Whether it's a fumble or not:

I have fathomed the reason why Bowe has a lost fumble to his name -- he muffed an onside kick that the Chargers recovered. He's still being charged with the lost fumble this morning (Peterson had his lost fumble removed, as expected). Since this is a special teams play, by our league rules, he shouldn't have that lost fumble attached to his offensive stats.
I don't know if Parz has the power to overturn the lost fumble, but I'll bring the matter to his attention, and then he'll do whatever he's able to do, I'm sure.

I've sent an email to Parz's Yahoo account and made a posting on the league home page. The matter's in Da Commish's hands now.

Here are the official scores:
Semifinals
WCT - 77.6
Wookies - 78.7
Neanderthals - 96.9
Posse - 98.3
Consolation Bracket
Friars - 90.2
Tribbles - 105.8
Demolition - 69.3
Skillets - 115.0
The Wookies keep their dream of a three-peat alive by the slimmest of margins, and if they can win the rubber match against the Posse, they'll have pulled it off.
The Skillets have turned in top score three of the past four weeks, and are looking to have a stranglehold on 5th place, although the Tribbles did have the #2 score this week, so that could be a real battle.
IIRC we split the season and both games were close and yahoo is projecting a difference of less than one point between us now. This should be intense.
