My 2 starters are going up against weak D's.
I've tentitively decided that Ryan is going to light up New Orleans, and Turner is going to run all over them.
Cutler vs. Cleveland is another good matchup, but Cutler's been throwing picks recently, and Romeo coaches agression.
Any thoughts?

I dont think Im playing you, so Id pick Cutler
But, take this advice with more than copious salt considering who its coming from
Cutler has a "Meh" running game to keep the D honest. Ryan has the best running offense in the NFL to keep the D honest. Ryan is more likely to have reasonable numbers you won't complain over having. Cutler is more likely to go off like a firecracker.
YOU DECIDE!!!

I'd go with Cutler, myself.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it. Ryan is much more likely to get rattled by a good D, but against a bad one like NO, I think he's got better upside potential, and at this point...I need points, not just wins.

In that case I would say Cutler. You have a higher cieling there than you do with ryan.

Personally, while Cutler is a cooler name than Ryan, it also sounds more bookish, almost butlerish. Ryan sounds more footballish. Just sayin'...
You see, this is the kind ouf outside the box thinking our organization needs!

So much for your outside the box thinking. The guy with the non-football name...a 29.70 point night.
Ryan will need a big game against New Orleans to have been the right choice.

I was following along until the end of the third quarter, and Cutler had a predestrian 12 points. Apparently Cleveland thought they were in the NHL, because the D stopped playing after three periods.
Denver recievers made a couple big plays, but I'm not sure my logic was especially faulty.
I can see Ryan lighting up New Orleans for big points as well. (On the other hand, as a rookie, I can see him laying an egg on me too.)

I don't think Ryan's had a game that good yet this season. Cutler, however, has had several games that good before now... That's what I was getting at with Cutler having a higher cieling. You might get lucky despite this with Ryan and you might get "Good enough for government work" from Ryan but it's extremely unlikely that you'll get 30 pts out of him.

Also, if you get a huge game out of Ryan, that makes it less likely that you get a big game out of Turner. Not impossible, but certainly less likely.
Oh and the most important part...
Ryan, by itself, sounds more like a football name but Cutler is one letter from being Cutlery... :sawink2:

That was actually part of my thinking. I'm insuring one agaisnt the other against a weak D.
And for the past month, I was more likely to get 20 points out of Ryan than Cutler.
Oh well, I've got weak competition this week anyway.
