I didn't have time this week to write up any game previews, but all the Week 8 chatter can still go in this thread.

It's getting sloppy in Pittsburgh.

Very sloppy in PIT/Giants game. WTF was that?

Can someone tell me how many points Chad had this week? My computer is again in the shop so I get on sporatically via 26K dialup....ugh.

There's no SNF because of the World Series, so here are the scores heading into MNF, with live players in parentheses:

Wily Corn Trolls (6-1) - 77.5 (Chris Johnson)
Tribbles (2-5) - 85.3

Neanderthals (5-2) - 83.8 (Marvin Harrison, Tennessee D/ST)
Fallen Angels (1-6) - 51.7 (K. Collins, [Jennings, Pittman])

Zohan's Posse (4-3) - 85.5 (Dallas Clark)
SnakeBitten (3-4) - 130.0

Fighting Friars (4-3) - 68.6 (Wayne)
2nd helping skillets (3-4) - 89.8

Trifecta Wookies (3-4) - 62.9 (LenDale)
Demolition (4-3) - 127.9

WCT-Tribbles is a toss-up at this point. Wayne needs a big game, probably one with multiple scores, to rally the Friars past the Skillets. Everything else is pretty much set. The WCT management won't even get to root on Johnson, as they'll be otherwise occupied in Pasadena tomorrow night. Neanderthals are the beneficiary of some 9-on-7 action this week.

Big three touchdown game for Wayne's all I need.

Except for and Williams, Evans, just about every "skill player" on my team sucked today.

My overachievers have turned into underachievers.

It is exciting... I actually quite enjoy following your fantasy football league. It's a lot more fun than actual football, that's for sure.

maybe next year you will throw your hat into the ring

Man, I was losing until Johnson scored with 3 1/2 minutes left to go. That might have been a little bit too much excitement if I had had the chance to watch the game. But I'll take a win in a week when I had Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, and Greg Olsen on bye (which forced me to cut Dominic Rhodes for a replacement since I didn't want to risk losing Olsen for the second half of the season), and Willie Parker out with his gimpy knee. It's pretty much full speed ahead for the WCT now in terms of not losing players because of byes. The same cannot said for Neanderthals, my opponent for next week.

Peyton had 23.6 tonight. In hindsight, you were getting a good game at QB no matter what this week.

Chad's having a banner year this year. He's got a good fit in Miami. He's been much more consistant in points than Peyton this year. Peyton's up and down. week one and last week(I cant recall some of the other ones) Chad's beaten him points wise.

It is. You really should throw your hat in the ring next year. You really dont need nuts and bolts knowelege of the sport to make it work.

N'uh-uh -- having a football-retard like myself involved would likely compromise everyone else's fun. You could pack everything I know about football into the head of a flea and you'd still have maracas.

So what. I know about the game, but that doesnt mean I know about FF when I started 3 years ago. Thats why they make cheat sheats online.....to help you pick players.

Carm is absolutely right. Like him when I started I was completely hopeless, just ask Det. Now a couple years later (crosses fingers) it looks as though I may have a shot at the playoffs
