We dont seem to have an OOC Commentary thread, so Ill make one (the DM can nuke it from orbit if he wishes of course)
I just noticed Becca has the second highest init mod/roll of any character Ive made for any system

I don't know what that means, Kal, but then I haven't seen your character's stats.
I'm watching Iron Man for the first time right now so I doubt I'll be posting much in my thread.

Just me being impressed by the init system for this game

Is it bad that when I see the title for my thread I think of this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIcFgl6zf3A)?

Sorry I've been slow on the updates...
I don't really have any excuse. Mahmoud is fascinated by the tech gear and the computer, I'm just spending too much time on other stuff and having a hard time responding.
I'm not bowing out! This is a good game. I'm just being slow.

It's all good. I'm going to be a bit slow myself for the next day or two.

I know this is OOC and we're not there, but are these fast zombies or shambling zombies?
I know there was a movie recently -- well, I Am Legend comes to mind but another one too -- where the zombies were fast.
*shudder*
Baelfyre
11-18-2008, 10:54 PM
It kinda depends. This particular lot are definitely in the "shambling" variety. But there are definitely some fast ones.
Phear zombie Dragoons. Or zombie Spyders.
BTW, have you two picked your weapons yet?

What skill is used for throwing things, like say grenades? Dont seem to see a throwing skill offhand

I said that I would take an MPK-11.
Baelfyre

TS: No underbarrel attachment? Your Rifle skill will allow the use of the shotgun underbarrel.
Kallzazz: Generally, the Athletics skill is used. Some specialized martial arts skills also apply if you have specific forms. For example, Ninjitsu Style gives Thrown as a key skill at +2 or +3 (don't remember the exact bonus right at the moment.)

I may not have Hvy skill, but I do have Athletics

Just wanted to say, for the record, you are fucking evil. If you met the devil himself and had a random conversation, I am quite sure he would vomit himself in disgust. Yes, that is a compliment.

According to the book, it varies based on what you are throwing. Example: Grenades are HVY period, thrown or launched (yeah, sadly double-checked this after I thought the damned underbarrel launchers were RIF and not HVY :( )
Also, pleasure to meet all of you. :) I promise to really try to not let history repeat itself and get the party killed or maimed or butchered and have their blood used as paint in a shop (I still blame Baelfyre for this one, it was his idea) or aid in their corruption or indirectly get them sold into slavery. ;) I can only hope that this character ends up as resilient as my last cyberpunk character under Baelfyre.

Don't lie. You're just waiting for them to start losing body parts so that you can sell them at the BodyShop for a couple of new gizmos.

Well at least he hasn't brought out the Wearwolves. Oh wait...he did on Becca.

Oh god, I hate those werewolves. I do not think this character can survive having her heart eaten out.
Baelfyre
11-20-2008, 07:16 PM
Suck it up, you wuss. You never had to deal with the really nasty wolves. You know, the one that levitated his own severed head to make a blood circle around the party and cursed them all.
stormbane
11-20-2008, 09:52 PM
Pfft, levitated on his own head. You couldn't think of something more creative than that? :P

Baelfyre
11-21-2008, 04:12 AM
That's fine. Each and every atomic particle in Timex's body suddenly goes off in a different direction, and is individually eaten by a separate soul sucking demon.
Next character?

Do the soul sucking demons get indigestion? I would totally count that as a victory. :D
Baelfyre

One does. But it's more likely the indigestion is a result of the Dodge's chicken he ate on the way.

The two rats swarm over Becca's legs, biting at the Gibsons. The first one bounces from the armor, but the second penetrates for 1 point of damage.
What do "Gibsons" refer to in this context?
Kalzazz
01-01-2009, 11:27 PM
Gibson in this case being brand name armored blue jeans, since one simply cant go into battle with say Jaclyn Smith battlearmor or other KMart specials
((Though my understanding is while Gibson is better than KMart, its still ordinary enough youd find it in the local mall))

(Although I had not heard this particular usage, either.)

Baelfyre

I put things on hiatus because Lady was out for health reasons for about six weeks, Tinsoldier was taking a break, and Stormbane moving. Being that I'm going to be moving for about a week, I'm going to leave it on hiatus for another week or so, and then start it up again, possibly with a new player as well.

I'd like some opinions. It's obvious that each of your characters has a psi talent at this point. Would you guys prefer a basic write up and a lot of mystery and guessing, or would you prefer an extended write up?

Bronze/I upon reading his Dreams thread immediately thought "Godsblood".
which might only make sense from his POV but I can at least follow it. so he has some of the blood of a god in his veins so now he has to songhunt the godsblood song.

I just wanted to give my players a heads up. Things have settled down enough that I'll be starting this game up again in the next week or so. I'm going to have to have dental surgery Tue-Wed or I'd be starting up tonight.
I apologize for the dual hiatus. You've essentially finished the first adventure.
