Well, it was once. Before Florida ran out of clean water in 2012. Before the toxic runoff from big sugar turned the everglades into a toxic marsh. Before the crash took the tourists away.
Nowadays, the once beautiful city is one big ghetto, a cheap labor source for DisneyCorp. Otherwise known as Network 54. That and Militech are the only real employers left in Central Florida. Outside, the land runs from desert to toxic, stagnant marshes and back every few miles. There's a Corpzone centered on what used to be Disney World, and another around the old Lockheed plant (which was taken over by Militech in 2013).
There are remnants of a once thriving metropolis everywhere. Abandoned houses, run down strip malls, and rotting vehicles dot the landscape. There are roads that run nowhere, and some of the main roads are little more than broken down strips of asphalt.
But hey, there's new life everywhere! There are spiders the size of a rat, a mold that eats your skin off, and the ever popular rust termites to eat your favorite gun.
Welcome to Hell.
