The downside to having Adrian Peterson on your team is peeping out a bit this week for the WCT as he battles a tight hammy that leaves his availability for this week in question. On the flip side, I think Calvin Johnson might be a tad underprojected for this week...

All three 2-0 teams have a chance to move to 3-0 this week, but perhaps none of them will. There will be at least one 0-3 team this week as Fallen Angels and Tribbles square off in a battle to avoid the cellar through Week 3. All this and much, much more in the GE&R Bragging Rights League!

Peterson is going to give it a go this morning (PDT). Stomp those Panther heads, Adrian!

As of right now, Driver is not in Zohan Posse's lineup. He's got Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Barber, Jacobs, and Sammy Morris at RB/WR in there at the moment.

Turner just scored a hat trick, although that does still leave him one behind Ronnie Brown this week.

Ronnie's on someone's bench this week. That's gotta sting...

EDIT -- I take it back, Ronnie was on the waiver wire. Not anymore.

I wouldn't expect more games like this from Brown.

The Pat's D took this week off, not wrapping guys up, etc.

They made everyone look good.

No, I'm totally counting on at least two or three more 5 TD games from Brown this season.

:troutslap:

Brown is more of an asset than a second D/ST. Or Tim Hightower. ;)

Brees and Jones also hit the yardage bonus milestones in the second half of their games, so that's where 4 of the 35 came from.

We need many TD passes in tonight's game. I'd like a bomb or two to end up in Jennings's hands for another league, and this time he needs to take them all the way to the end zone. He's got three 50+ yard catches that haven't ended in scores in two games.

It would appear that the Wily Corn Trolls are on the receiving end of the sodomy they were delivering last time 'round...
I think Rodgers is going to make my game with carmachu respectable, but I'm most likely going to soak up the loss anyways. He did score 30 last week, but I'm expecting something more like 18-20 from him this week.

Cutler, Bush, and Turner will all be active next week, as will Hines Ward and Lee Evans for supporting cast. You'll be in the hunt. Week 4 isn't quite so bad for you without Brady, and with New England generally a little more shaky than everyone thought they would be at the start of the year.

Detritus

Well, Rodgers has worked his way into a negative point total near the end of the 3rd quarter. Didn't see that coming. Sometimes it's just not your week.

Now it's an ass kicking. I wasn't going to concede that until I saw my QB play.

Here are your scores heading into MNF:

2nd helping skillets - 93.5
Wily Corn Trolls - 59.1 (Kaeding)

Trifecta Wookies - 69.8 (Gates)
Neanderthals - 95.1 (Thomas Jones)

Fighting Friars - 103.7
Zohan's Posse - 73.6

Fallen Angels - 64.7
Tribbles - 60.4 (SD D/ST)

SnakeBitten - 56.9 (Rivers, Sproles)
Demolition - 49.6 (Chambers)

Kaeding's points are for nothing but pride unless he manages to either kick 7 50+ yard FGs or score about 4 TDs.

Neanderthals should have their game well in hand, unless Gates turns back the clock a couple of years and Thomas Jones does a complete no-show.

Tribbles need the SD D/ST not to crap the bed tomorrow night to pull out the W.

It's looking good for SnakeBitten to recover from their opening week loss since he has the 10-point lead and Rivers sitting over Chambers. At this point, Demolition needs to root for a halfback option play from LT to Chambers that winds up seeing Chambers score, and lots of turnovers from Rivers as well.

I left points on the bench at the WR positions.
<shrug> Fortunately, most of my starters were pretty strong.

Well, so much for the information on Ronnie Brown taking a backseat to Ricky Williams.
(And you *know* I loved seeing a team line up in a single-wing. And dominating from the set.)

That's true. I've benched some of my other week 4's sitting out.

My question is, is this Bush's breakout season? Or did he have a couple good games? (I'm not expecting 20+ points every week, but is it fair to expect 10 on average?)

So far, my strategy of drafting upside potential has worked, but I can't help feeling the other shoe is going to drop.

Thanks.

To be fair, Parz' generosity giving me Cutler for my #2 WR seriously solidified a glaring weakness. Without that, I'd have Matt Ryan as my starter.

Bush should continue to be a beast as long is Colston is out; IMO he's the biggest beneficiary of Colston's absence. Even when Colston comes back, that just means that Bush will go back to his normal level of involvement in the passing game, which is still pretty good. There's a decent chance that when Colston comes back, it'll just mean that New Orleans will phase out some of the schlubs they have filling in for Colston as opposed to ratcheting down Bush's workload.

Turner is the guy I'm wondering about for you. He's had a couple of pretty soft run Ds to go against for his three-TD games. I'm wondering what will happen with him when he goes up against the likes of Carolina and Tampa Bay. Cutler/Bush/Turner/Wayne/Ward should continue to be a solid nucleus even if your RBs come back to earth a little, however.

time will tell but right now the pattern is Bad D=Huge game, good D=pathetic game. It would actually be to your benefit if that pattern proved modestly persistent since that would give you a solid basis for decision making.

Unofficial final scores, finally:

2nd helping skillets - 93.5
Wily Corn Trolls - 72.1

Trifecta Wookies - 77.9
Neanderthals - 96.1

Fighting Friars - 103.7
Zohan's Posse - 73.6

Fallen Angels - 64.7
Tribbles - 79.4

SnakeBitten - 90.2
Demolition - 57.1

Fighting Friars remain the lone unbeaten team, and the only team to top the century mark all three weeks. Tribbles break into the win column, leaving Zohan's Posse and Fallen Angels alone in the cellar, and winless. There will be a five-way logjam at 2-1 heading into Week 4 action.
