The Algernon Files is a very well done series of books produced by Blackwyrm Games in support of 1st and 2nd edition M&M, as well as Champions. The material, presented in the books, can easily be convert over to another system with a little work on the part of any GM. In addition to the actual books, Blackwyrm provides a lot of extra goodies online. Everything from benchmark tables (so you can see how the various characters stack up against each other), to free full color artwork, depicting every character detailed in the books. They also post several very good looking PDF previews so you can get an idea of how the book is laid out. Plus, the book's primary author Aaron Sullivan, has continued to post free character updates, additional background info on the TAF universe, and ideas on how the characters can be integrated into the "official" M&M universe of Freedom City. If you're looking for a well written book for use in your supers game, I'd suggest picking up a copy.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Blackwyrm Games, they publish a variety of material for various gaming systems, primarily D20, HERO, and True 20. The Algernon Files was originally published as part of the "Superlink" program, where Green Ronin Games, the publisher of Mutants and Masterminds, allows other game companies to produce products in support of M&M through and open license.
