Does anyone know how to get in contact with David Utter? He used to be a regular poster on the old WebRPG V&V boards way, way back when.

I always liked the "good vibe/bad vibe" element of his Four Winds universe. It seemed like a pretty excellent explanation for why Charisma mods work the way they do in V&V (although, funnily enough, when I said as much to him he said that had never entered his mind or been a consideration when he came up with the vibe).

I'd like to port it over into my own V&V universe, but since it was a defining element of his game universe I'd like to get his stamp of approval before grifting it.

I'd appreciate a PM if anyone has any contact info. I tried looking at the old Al-Umbra site of his, which is still up, but couldn't find an e-mail link or the like.

Sorry, I can't help you on that. But you might try the V&V yahoo group also.

Four Winds PBEM turns (http://al-umbra.tripod.com/pbem_turns.html) are posted there. Discussion of the vibes is in 5 or 6, I think. I'm on # 7 right now myself.

I would have his email from when he did nocturnes, but it's on a backup and I would have to track that down. It'll take me time.

It would be appreciated, thank you.

I found a David A. Utter (http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidautter) who's deep into computer systems in Lexington, KY - it MAY be the same guy since he based his 4-Winds campaign there.

I miss him, too.

She'd obviously be more qualified to answer that, but I don't think so. She was part of a couple of V&V PBEMs, but I don't think Four Winds was one of them.

Thanks, I think that's him.
