Yet another vampire tv show?

My wife sent me an e-mail cribbed from one of the many Anita yahoo groups, that apparently the Anita Blake series is going to get a tv show as well.

Makes me wonder how they're going to do it.
Books 1-9 on HBO, and books 10-16 on Playboy? (Wait, no, the Playboy channel probably isn't raunchy enough. Does Hustler have a porn channel?)

It might work... if they just take the main characters and leave the rest. Which seems to be pretty standard operating procedure for TV.

I'll look forwar do to seeing it and give it a few episodes. If it's rubbish it's a dissapointment, but i've survived worse. :confused2:
I'd be surprised if they followed the books for plot particularly anyway.
