When the Medicine man set malicious spirits forth on Tad, the man was protected in the Dream world, for some unknown reason. Turning to his deeper powers the Shaman summoned a Spirit Lion, protector of his tribe and sent it to attack the man, but the Spirit saw the great kindness, valor, and strength of conviction in Tad, and let itself be bested in the Dream world, granting Tad a measure of its power as his patron, for it had seen the dark, envy and rage in the Shaman, and knew it had been called forth in the wrong, for personal vengeance, not justice. Utilizing his new found powers, Tad revealed the Shaman's tricks used to keep the tribe suffering under drought even as the Peace Corps Volunteers struggled to aid them. With his new gifts Spirit Lion, would be seen again—in times of need to face the evils of mankind, greed, and show valor as it championed humankind's better natures

This one is a bit weaker than the last, as far as description. The player gave me some background, but hadn't worked it all out. We did start playing before he had finalized, and the game died before I got more input from him.

Will post more when I get them typed over from my excel character sheet. I also need to shrink the pictures for the two heroes above so they fit on the posts.

I'm not sure why, but I really like Spirit Lion. Would you mind sharing a few additional deteails about him?

Spirit Lion reminds me of a M&M character I made for a PbP game on the old board. My character was called Ghost Bear and had the spirit of an ancient Eskimo hero that took the shape of a polar bear.
That game never really managed to take off, though it had potential. Over time I've thought of refining the character to make him more in line with the character concept. The original had powers that weren't really relevant, he needed to be toned down.

Those were, pretty much, the details the player gave me. In play, he tried to be pretty sparing of his roar, though that did stop a gang fight when he used it. They started going up against a gang called, IIRC, the Bone Lords. I'll post info on them when I get a chance. I'll try to remember to post the list of NPCs I had already planned out for the campaign.
One thing I did with the game was use Google maps to get a real view of New York, so I was describing what was actually there instead of making it up on the fly. I could do this since it was online instead of face to face, and I have a pretty quick typing speed.

That's kind of a cool idea, and I can kind of see more and more of this being done for Modern RPGs, as it becomes easier and easier to scroll around and see current topography.
I recently used Google maps to draw out my house and property on graph paper, using the standard V&V 1" = 5 feet.

I started going through my notes last night, and see that many of my notes did not get saved. I will try to recreate what I can.
