i am resuming work on what i used to call a d20 fantasy game but am coming to realize is really an OGL-compliant fantasy game (change necessitated by removal of some core d20 elements such as BAB and addition of new saving throw type).
i expect i will likely have alpha documents ready for commenting in several weeks' time. if anyone is interested in reviewing and providing comments, wing me a PM w/ the e-mail address i should use. if you agree to receive the alpha documents, i ask that you commit to a timeframe within which you expect to provide comments.

n.b.: if you have seen a previous version, this will supercede it as i am changing things significantly from those earlier efforts.

Well, since I'm in the middle of performance reviews and GM'ing in multiple campaigns, give me about 2-4 weeks from receipt of alpha docs. For example, if I receive docs around Presidents' Day, you can yell at me if I'm still silent at the Ides of March.
I'll PM the address.

Have you changed much since I read it earlier?
I do remember liking the rules.

i'll be ditching some key concepts such as the BCB, which i'm replacing w/ a straight-up skills-based mechanic. ditto, BAB for that matter.

I'll be happy to give it a look.

I would love to look at it, but my input would have little value considering my lack of experience with other systems.

I'd be happy to check out whatever you have but cannot commit to a solid timeframe. But I've been pretty good about timely feedback on other people's stuff <cough> unlike Parz <cough> heh heh. So grain of salt and all.

Well, you know what my schedule usually looks like, so I can't commit to a timeframe, but I'll try. :)

david: thank you for offering. this will take me some time.
battledragon: thanks, i appreciate it. we haven't interacted much so i don't know what your expectations are, but i hope to make for interesting reading.
BN: the POV of someone who isn't a maven of comparative RPG theory is also helpful to me.
grendel, LS: thanks, gentlemen.

thank you, magnus. i already construed from your first post that was so.
a brief summary of what you can expect in the alpha docs:
1. new saving throw.
2. removal of BAB entirely.
3. new magic engine entirely.
4. no magic items per se.
5. removal of most monsters and several PC races.
there may be more, depending on what precisely i can accomplish.
